石河地貌特征为丘陵平原各半。江苏省南京市桥林街道，桥林镇在原江浦县治西40里，原名石碛镇，因濒临石碛河而得名。明万历七年(1579)县志市集栏中，已有“石碛桥”记载，每逢农历二、五、七、十日，四乡农民来此赶集，相沿至今。
