中国中古诗歌史是研究魏晋南北朝、五代十国的诗歌史，由于隋朝历史较短暂，所以一般也把隋朝诗歌加入研究范畴。主要是对魏代及西晋、东晋、南梁、北朝迄隋这四个历史时期的文学发展进行概括。
