景龙二年(708)安业县属京兆府。景龙三年(709)改属雍州。景云元年(710)再属商州区。

景龙二年(708)安业县属京兆府。景龙三年(709)改属雍州。景云元年(710)再属商州。乾元元年(758)改为乾元县，属京兆府。县治在今镇安县西北西皇峪。
