痰疟在祖国医学领域里属疟疾之范畴，乃指感受疟邪，触发宿痰而病，好发于夏秋之间，其他季节也有散发。临床表现以寒热交作，休作有时，呕吐痰沫，甚则昏迷为特征。现代医学中的疟疾病，属于本证范畴。
